Flowers on a Glass Tableby chaliceComment: Hi Greetings from the CC
I think you are on to a very cool idea here, I really like the idea of using a mirror. I also really like your compostion, the similar color flowers as in vase is also nice. I think this may have done better if you could of done it with a black background vs white it would of added a lot of drama to your image. I am not sure also about the sharpness here. It kind of looks soft, tho it may be that they are silk flowers? Making them look fuzzy a little.
Hope that helps

Painted by the glassby fantacComment: Greetings from the CC
Wow I do not read the other comments but I did see the top one, and I think they are right! This is a thoughtful and appealing image, the only think I that would improve it is had you tilted the mirror to the left hence the object of focus is geared directly towards the viewer vs away from it. I also would crop about 1/2inch off the bottom making the corner of the frame line up with the edge of the wall. Bet really a nice image you have here. I think you did a lovely job.

I see you are from India, I am sorry to hear about the attack on the trains, more beauty like this shot less hostility is what we need in the world. |

Refraction¦noitcarfeRby GeneralEComment: Greetings from the CC, well this gets points I guess for experimental and creative. And knowing that you have been around here a long time, I suspect you knew this would not score high on dpc. I actually think this image is interesting, I think it may have worked much better tho as a vertical crop, partly cuz it is such a busy image it would of helped to focus the eye, in at least my opinion on the more interesting 'middle' part.
I suspect not possible but had you been able to get this a bit sharper, it would of looked IMHO like a jewel.
I also would like to see the 'white version'.
Hope that helps1

Abstract with seasonal vegetablesby Rino63Comment: Greetings from the Critique club
NOw here is a unique idea. What I think really works is your use of COLOR! nice choices, strong diagonal line in the picture adds good focus and compositional element to the pic. I do wish your green stem is it, were a bit sharper and I wish the whole image was a little darker (i.e. exposure) I think it would of added a little mystery to your veggies. I also find the dark along the left top a little distracting and may like to see a tighter crop.

Ibiscusby Rino63Comment: Hi greetings from the CC
The biggest flaw with this photo is that the little yellow part (stamin, i think it is called) is out of focus and the light on the petals behind, the 'white light; is too distracting from the 'focal point' of the image.
Generally with flowers you need to get the center part tack sharp.
What I do really like about your shot is the black background, helps your subject stand out, makes the color scream 'wow' and makes the whole shot dramatic.
hope that helps!

Tulips in a Vaseby banmornComment: Greetings from the Critique Club, well wow the new camera is working for you i would say!
This is a truly lovely image, the lighting the colors, even the vase is tasteful and a warm addtion to this shot.
Really what can I say? You should use it to advertise some flower shop or something. Or consider becoming a floral arranger? My only slight criticism of this shot would be the 2 drooping leaves in the front I would like it better if they were standing still or not there.
Quite stuning well done! |
