Nut and Boltby orussellComment: Lighting on the subject seems to be perfect but on the background surface is a different story. Seems washed out on the right side. I would have preferred a smoother gradation and a smaller hotspot. Perfect focus and amazing details, though. |

Coffee and Creamby PDavisComment: Nice perspective in this entry. The DOF applied to the coffee beans is also excellent. I'm not a fan of the shadow across the right third of the coffee in the mug. If the lighting was more even across the entire mug, I'd rate this higher. |

almostby leafComment: Nice details and textures and sharp focus, too. A bit of a stretch to fit the challenge, in my opinion, but excellent interpretation, nonetheless. Very original. 8. |

Battered Ball, Worn-out Gloveby HRoxasComment: Great concept and sepia lends well to the "antique feel". I almost wish it was a bit brighter but it's not that big a deal. Excellent focus, too. |

Industry&Pollutionby geewhyComment: Great concept! I can relate to that well since I live in Los Angeles and we have terrible smog problems. The only issue I have with this entry is compression. It is most present on the second smaller burn-off stack. It seems a bit blurry and pixelated. |

Sunday Morningby jimmyn4Comment: Hilarious! Although I normally read the comics at the table, to each his own, I say. :) Is it me or is the top of the tile tilted downward towards the lower right? The floor looks horizontal but the tile throws me off. |

Always Together (Key & Keychain)by tyt2000Comment: I know that's a VW/Audi key (I have one myself). Good focus and details of the metal. I also like the use of DOF to blur the ignition key. I also like the soft lighting.
Now on to the (only) issue. :) I would have cloned out the small reddish spot on the silver hoop. Nice overall effort! |

Ball & Gloveby MJENNIComment: Although I know what this is, even without the title, I would like to see more of the glove. I really like the details you've captured of the glove. Amazing! And it looks like you've tried to focus on the glove vs the ball which I also like (nice use of DOF). 8. |

Jack & Cokeby spydrComment: Looks like an infrared filter was used here. Very creative and definitely out of the ordinary! It give the picture a spooky glow and I really like it! 10! It has good focus and all that other stuff, too. |

Aurora, dark sky and snowy mountains go togetherby birgirComment: Having never taken a picture of the aurora borealis, I cannot begin to think how difficult these are to photograph. I like the way the aurora streams across the night sky and its color. However, it looks like you had to use a faster ISO setting of 400-800 to capture this and it shows with excessive noise levels. |
