The crop and processing were definitely the right decision. It gives the photo a completely different feel from the original. Very mysterious.

And there wasn't a challenge going on that you could have shoe horned this in on? What a great black and white! Her face is so smooth, and those big brown eyes almost jump out of the picture. Very nice!

I really like how much of the color you were able to bring out, particularly in the face! (bugs have faces, right?)

You totally should have entered this in partners! Possibly the funniest thing I've seen on DPC thus far. Oh, and nice editing as well! :-)

I think this middle picture is actually my favorite! For some reason it accentuates the lighting work you did on the flower better than the final. :-)

Wow! If you hadn't posted that middle image I would have called shenanigans! That's an amazing amount of seamless cloning. Very, very well done!

Hello, and welcome. I think the difference in the before and after on this is pretty striking. I want more people to see it, so please copy and paste your post into the images thread here June B&A Images thread

I would have just done it for ya, but I didn't know if that was considered good form. :-) I added you to the list, and am looking forward to seeing some more over the next few weeks!

I think I really like the crop on this as well, and I agree with yankothat darker glasses with just a hint of eyes behind them would make her even more mysterious. Want me to add you to the list for the month? C'mon...You know you wanna!

I really like the deep greens of the background, as it makes the flower pop out. I was flipping back and forth between the two images and I was wishing that you had more space to work with on the right side, but no go. whaddya gonna do, right? The only thing that kinda nags me is that little offshoot from the stem, just under the flower. If this were advanced editing I would cloned that little sucker out. :-) Nice transformation!

Hard to believe this is the same image. Kinda looks like an alien plant from another world! The all around darkness really brings out the interesting parts, like the red on the main stalk. Really nice work!
