Nice depiction of a lazy subway station. Fits the theme very well, but way too dark, unless you were going for silouhettes? Alas, I can't apply that to my score If you were, because this is just too dark, and too bright in the background to the point that my eyes hurt looking at it! lol. More balancing would have made this a fine black and white photo. I'd give this a 5.

An ordinary capture, with some technicals that are distracting - such as the noisy building in the background. Could have popped more if it were darker, and a bit sharper. Some over exposure on the teacup distracts me somewhat. Fits the challenge theme in mediocre fashion, but doesn't say "Led Zepplin" to me. I'd give this a 5.

Neatly composed and angular, but with some over exposure on the sun lit objects that draw my eye away from the main focal subject. An interesting capture of an otherwise dull moment, which has just enough personality to make me wonder "what are these people thinking, and where are they going?" I'd give this a 7.

An average city-scape shot. However, it is well composed, and the colors and levels are natural, and balanced looking. I like the way the streets, and river follow a diminishing, congruent, "backwards S" pattern. This brings it above snapshot status, and I'd give this a 7. You have a great eye for comoposition.

Another standard snap-shot, with a little imbalance in the contrasts and some over exposure on the foreground display. Looks like an average trip to the mall, but it's a 4 in my book. Darken this a bit, expose the foreground more accurately to bring it up to a 5.

This is an okay shot, and a definitively average capture. Nothing stands out as partucularly striking, but colors are balanced well, and natural looking, along with the lighting. The subject (mannequin and display) versus the diminishing focus to the background is standard fare, in a standard snapshot photo. A 5 for sure.

A fine shot, of an otherwise ordinary photo - except that timing was great. All the mouths equally, hungrily opened add balance. not much in the way of color in this particular capture, and not much that is striking to behold. I would have given this a 6, for an above average moment in time captured efficiently. They sure are cute, though!

A perfectly composed portrait! The lucidity of the eyes really draws me in, and the "duo tone" effect works wonderfully here, though I would love to see a color shot too. Lighting and contrasts are great, focus is spot-on, and there's not much to complain about here, other than that it is simply a portrait, with a fine expressive subject. I think it could be a tad darker. An 8, easy.

A fantastic shot, of some rarely seen scenery, that could only have been captured in this frozen moment. The noise from the saturated blues in the mountains, and greens in the foothills are all that stand between a a 9 and a 10 here, and I would have went with a 9. My preference would have been to try to de-saturate the noise some, and level the color down overall. Also would have liked to see this slightly sharper.

Absolutely wonderful! Perfect contrasts/gradients, and a superb capture of the weather. That both subjects are wearing the same color/style coats was either luck, or you used models, but there's nothing here to suggest anything but a wonderful, candid shot that is expertly timed and composed. Easily a 9 in my book.
