If you hadn't explained what this was I might have had a hard time figuring it out. It's an interesting series of disjointed objects, and I've seen things like this work, though in this case I'm not so sure it does.

I think the lighting is too "normal" if you see what I mean. Rather than being some sort of surreal / weird / abstract scene, the lighting / composition has just left it being a bunch of unrelated objects.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Initial impression: 'Gee, looks like an opening shot for a scene from a SAW movie' - and another commenter saw the resemblance too.

Technical: Lighting is harsh and bleak, which works for this shot. Couch risks being lost in the midground; just barely below the dead centre of the shot.

Artistic: Bleak industrial setting, fluorescent lighting, exposed pipes all juxtapose nicely with the unloved love seat, sitting there awaiting its fate. The dingy colour of the couch blends in very well with the overall scene.

FWIW: I would have cropped out most of the foreground and pulled the couch further away from the wall on the left, to cast a longer shadow and give it a greater sense of isolation. All in all good work, keep shooting!
