I've never had the pleasure or fortune to witness the lights, but I have seen many images of them. This image works well for the most part. I feel it's a little washed out and could use a little contrast in the color regions. I would think getting the shutter speed and ISO to balance is a challenge in these conditions. I have no idea now long the shutter would even need to stay open for this event. Overall, a good image to be proud of. I like the space you left around the snowy spots on the ice.

Impressive landscape despite the seeming sameness of much of the terrain. This has a lot to do with the quality of the light. What I really enjoy is how the meandering river teases its way up the left vertical thirds line. It's confidently casual, content with approximation. Fine image.

Beautiful scene... perfectly demonstration the value of the rule... I wish the river was either fully cut off on the left or not cut at all... but that is very picky.. should do well. Good Luck

a nice record shot but its more of an abstract IMO
