Arch Bridgeby NeuferlandComment by wavelength: How can this pic have no comments??
Really, what can I say that you don't already know here? Just a fantastic example of simplistic gradeur. Gorgeous colors, awesome leading lines, beautiful textures. Great sense of "being there" with you. This picture really captures your experience of this place and brings it to life.
Picky bits that I can say: the web version here needs some final sharpening. The tiny bit of blown out sky is a wee bit distracting to me, but not a fatal flaw by any means. Maybe you can burn it enough to make it look just more like overcast clouds? You might try to add some vignetting with burn or a filter, and then dodge the bridge and burn the trees to give it more punch and draw the eyes to the bridge some more.
Overall fantastic, probably an 8 from me. Hope this is in some way helpful. ;) |

Let There Be Light?by NeuferlandComment by 777STAN: Wow! Reminds me of my current low, low scores on challenges. I guess my "idea bulb" has been "restructured" much like this one. (Hopefully, soon I will have a 5600 K model reinstalled in its place.)
Oh, well, congratulations on a little "light house-keeping." :) Stan |

Blue Eye Beautyby NeuferlandComment by ericwoo: Hey there from the Critique Club
Wow! She has grown up over the past year. From the first image, she has changed from a cute kid to beautiful young girl. You did a very nice image capturing her beauty to share with us all.
Camera Work/Technical: Your focus is nice and crisp, while the image looks invitingly soft. Excellent work in both shooting and post-processing to achieve a wonderful portrait.
Lighting: I can find no problems with your lighting. You created a very nice flow from the darkness on the left to the nice highlights on the right. This balances the image very well.
Composition/Content: I have two small issues with the composition. First, the leaf on the right side of the frame behind her left ear is mildly distracting. Once the eye is on that side of the image, that leaf grabs it and competes for attention. The second small issue is at the right ear. I find myself wanting to see the rest of it. Moving that lead would help out a bit.
My Opinion: No offense intended to your other images, but this one is my favorite that you have captured. I fully agree with the voters that this one is even better than a really nice original. I personally think that this one should have scored much better.
