"The Thief of Always"by fishstix_666Comment by fishstix_666: As a note to everyone who said that this shot had a tilted horizon, I specifically took the picture at about a 15 degree angle to get the lense flare. And if anyone wants to check out the book to get the metaphore that I was trying to present, the author is Clive Barker, the book can be found (I assume) anywhere. Not trying to be rude or ungreatful for the advise that you have all given to me, just trying to clarify that whole horizon thing since most of those who commented on this shot seemed preocuppied with the angle. It does look pixalated, but I hadn't noticed that until the shot was posted, oops. Message edited by author 2003-12-02 18:23:16. |

Buy MY Cigarettes!by fishstix_666Comment by dr rick: The digital noise enhances the message of this photo, but the Noise Filter is acceptable by DPC rules and gives a more uniform (and less distracting) result than the compression artifacts it looks like were used here. |

Buy MY Cigarettes!by fishstix_666Comment by adine: Scary. Nice comment of smoking, and the marketing of smoking. I could go two ways with this - either strip away all of the familiar - the everyday clothes, the background - have the face leering out of the darkness with cigarette in hand -
OR
have this skeletal figure in a totallye everyday situation - sitting at the luinch table with friends offering a cigarette. |

Buy MY Cigarettes!by fishstix_666Comment by muckpond: i guess this would be more effective if it looked like the subject was actually trying to sell cigarettes. i think this depends too much on the title. |
