I think the swapped focus will kill this, but I happen to really enjoy it. Nice job!

You know what Ganders again I think I saw some of your work before or someone here with work that has screwed up angles just something missing that completes the image. Here though the angle is messed up I admit you could crop at the top a bit more or expand on the view by adding the ceiling plus maybe show more of a dynamic break between one of the sets of pillars to really set the mood with the colors and the person. I think its a wonderful portrait. Don't worry what other say its beautiful with what you have as far as the idea goes for being a portrait I can offer you several photographers you might wish to look at. Andrea Kerteze, harry calhand, william eggleston, and there are a few more but those are some photographers you might take a look at for perspective. Thank You for the delightful portrait. You have given more than even the winner of the blue ribbon gave. Oh if you do take another picture similar to this one and you are think possibly color and place the person with a brighter color like red or orange or purple that stands out with the sort of lighting offered it would be even more power and prestigiously awesome. Thank you once again.

lovely sense of perspective, nice and crisp (if the bird is a bit blurry...)

Somebody must have had a good contract for steel rods. The seagull lifts this one away from the aridity of some modern buildings (some are wonderful) but the parallel lines are indisputable.
