Not too fond of the border. Nice pose. Might have been nice if the woman were cuddling in to him more and seemed to be enjoying the embrace... maybe with her head resting against his chin and her eyes closed?

Usually the personal portraits don't appeal to me - they are often too focused on the emotive and personal meanings with too little attention paid to composition, light and aesthetic appeal. This one is different - the lighting is really excellent, so too is the composition and it's at the same time a very intimate and personal portrait and a universal image.

Lighting is great.
The left hand of the woman looks like it is in a fist. Perhaps if this was a little higher flat on the belly would look better.
