That looks painful! Nicely done, but the one in front is out of focus and takes away from the impact of the "sharpness" of the razors. It's "dull"...ok, I'll stop playing on the words now = )

Ouch! Strong, graphic shot. The very blurred pieces in the foreground are a distraction. Would have been better to have a knife sharp foreground and fading/ blurring in the background.

Yes, this a real full-sized place. It is a swimming pool that is in a fairly dark room, with a small part lit by the skylights. There's just an astounding amount of detail in the room as a whole, so the photo actually does represent a study of a small set of details. At this resolution, the tiles used for the mosaic are about the same size as the pixels at 640x480; the higher resolution shots look a fair bit sharper. Sorry about the tilt; I was leaning strangely to get the perspective right, and I missed the horizontal. You can read more about Hearst Castle at //www.hearstcastle.org/.
