Perhaps a solid background would help. As it is, it is a little bit distracting. Otherwise, good lighting and composition.

Cool effect - I can't wait to hear more about how you did this shot. I wish it was more obvious whether this was a black cat or not though. I'm not really clear on the purpose of the bottom surface (skin?) - road maybe? shedonist
