The expressions you got here are excellent! My only suggest would be to partially crop/partially clone the player in the upper right. You still need to have a bit of room on that side, but that white shoe gets in the way of seeing the expressions.

Excellent minimal processing Charlie. You've really made the girls pop. I think also I'd crop out the goal keeper in the rear RH cnr. to give even more focus on your daughter and her opponent. Reason:- she is distracted by something and not watching the game. lol Hope she's not one of yours.

I like the photo, and the intensity in the athletes expression, but something in your description is very frustrating to me. You wrote "played in winter outside in skirts and t-shirts! ". Where I am right now (Canada), it is winter, and minus 15 Celcius, with about a foot of snow on the ground, and its going to snow most of the weekend and next week.

So... I am jealous :D

I love this toning - would be interested in learning about this tutorial myself, if you dont' mind pm'ing it to me. The technique seems to work well with that type of side lighting.
