Guidanceby dltruexComment by Onie: Great idea! Excellent choice of using a childs hand in that of an adult. Appropirate title, for it is up to us as adults to guide the young. 9 |

Guidanceby dltruexComment by jmsetzler: very nice composition, but the yellow cast doesn't really work well for me... maybe a little desaturation there of going completely black and whit e would work also :) - setzler |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment by dltruex: For all those comments for improvment, thank you.
This image was taken on a overcast and rainy day (surprise, surprise around Seattle), without a tripod (mistake), with a flash (BIG MISTAKE). The flash caused a few of the raindrops to reflect as phantom light streaks in part of the photo.
I will definitely go back to Deception Falls on a brighter, less rainy day to get a much better picture. :-)
Thanks again. |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment by lisae: I really LOVE the action in this photo. That's some powerful water.
However, there are a few issues. It seems like you didn't use a tripod for this long exposure shot. Also, it's a bit underexposed. You could fix it pretty well with post processing though, just play with the levels a bit. That's all though, the composition is really nice and the water makes this photo exciting. |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment by GeneralE: I think this would look better if it were brightened up just a little. Ilike the composition with the falls crossing the frame diagonally. |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment by inspzil: This is a cool picture. I think it's a little underexposed and a little too soft on the focus end of it - Inspzil |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment by HBunch: While I know that the water is suposed to have this effect, the focus on the surroundings appear to be in soft focus as well. The very white spot just above half way up in the photo is a bit distracting. I'm not sure what it is, but it kind of makes me want to concentrate on that one spot. THe angle and framing/cropping seems good to me. Good luck in the challenge. |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment by alanfreed: I like this technique a lot, but it looks like you may have bumped the camera a little during the exposure... or something. The rocks on the left seem a bit too blurred, to my eye. Overall the image seems a little on the dark side. |

Deception Fallsby dltruexComment by joanns: Wow, if this is Deception Falls on Hwy 2 -- I've been there! I took my first waterfall shot up there. I don't know why the water looks brown? I'm anxious to find out what technique you used, shutter speed, filters, etc. I really love this shot, just wish it wasn't so dark. |
