femme by rinacComment by Nuzzer: In what I'm calling the " rinac challenge" this is my pick for her shot. There are a few that have the same style but this has the feel and tones of her work. If I'm wrong then take it as a compliment :)
PS: not voting |

La Fée Verteby rinacComment by tnun: This takes some time to absorb. (Absorb absynthe? I understand absynthe is absorbing, and that the glow and pulse made by your missed focus is part of the experience. Just was reading about it, before I saw this. Did not know la fee verte was synonymous). |

Tuiby rinacComment by Nuzzer: Nice shot. I've been stalking Tui's in the trees off my deck for ages now but I've not yet managed to get a shot that I'm happy with, after all, you've got to be able to show their fantastic colours off. This shot manages to do this.
On the negative side, the feathers seem just a little soft, maybe it's the DOF or the shutter speed (neither of which you list). I'd also have cloned out that OOF branch in the front as it seems to interupt the nice line of the branch he (or she) is sitting on.
Looking at this more I see one of the problems I have with my Tui stalking. The main tree we have for them is a Kowhai and it seems to have many more branches than your tree, hence less "clean" shots of the Tui's. I'm not giving up though, even if I have to grab a chainsaw to "tidy" the tree a tad!
PS: I did have to laugh at NikonJeb's comment, he's must be a real nerd if he reads "nird books" ;) |

Tuiby rinacComment by 3DsArcher: That's funny, we both did birds this month. I was fairly sure this was yours. My first thought when I saw it in voting was the same as NikonJeb that it looked like a plate in a bird book. Really nice work Rina. |

Tuiby rinacComment by salmiakki: look a that. "tree in front yard" Hmm. Not seeing anything like that in my front yard. Well done, on a great score, and look no 1,2,3 votes. that's too cool. The colours are stunning. I was trying to guess which one was yours, but this was not one of my choices. :) |
