I don't know what it's about this shot, but I have come across it many times in the galleries and everytime it makes me stop. Hard to explain, but I think it's one of those shots you cannot reproduce. There's something about that look which makes me feel that only could have done it with this model and only at this moment. It will forver be unique, I think.

Love the DOF and little piece of paper. You're a smarter cheater than all of the other guys (and let's not forget THE girl) who wrote the answers on some part of their bodies. At least, if you get in trouble and can swallow the evidence. Don't know what the others will do?

I like this and am scoring it well, but there are odd things about it: only a small fraction feels in focus, I don't know what it is, and it should either be centered or not and it seems stuck in between, and the top right seems too hot. However, the title fits as whatever it is feels mechanical, except for the really hot area I really like the b&w, and for some reason even with all of the things above, I really like it.

There may be precision inherent in your subject, but methinks that it got lost in the translation of your photo, which is out of focus, from what I can tell.
Otherwise, I think this could have been a neat idea.
