I think I would have preferred the lighting to be centered on the bindings. It makes me feel like these are very old books and since you chose to use the bindings as the center of attention, it would have worked better for me if that was where the dramatic lighting hit.Refreshing idea though for the challenge.Very creative and good use of thinking outside the box.

This would be a really good shot but for all the harsh lines. They lead the eye in no clear direction and away from your subject
