Thanks everyone for all of the nice comments. This was one of maybe 20 different shots I took of grasshoppers at the park - they are very easy to get close to, much like Praying Mantis.

However, they are just shy enough to be interesting - they like to peer around the grass blades to keep an eye on you, so to speak, and this makes for almost comical expressions.
