I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are
near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry
in this challenge.

If I were to list this in categories, it would be under performance and snapshot. The photo is way out of focus aside from the motion blur, and badly lit. Unfortunately I have to say it was badly composed. Not much of interest is being portrayed that isn't expected. It's a 2 for me.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Wow, what beautiful flowers! Must be nice to have some to shoot, LOL, where I am it's still too cold, LOL :)

This is a lovely idea for yellow and the color is there but it seems a bit flat and dull for the light that seems to be available. An adjustment on curves or brightness/contrast could really help bring these colors out. Even a slight adjsutment on the saturation (yellow) would really help this.

Also the overall composition seems a bit off to me the balance isn't quite there, the bud on the right is throwing the whole line off of the flowers, if you bring the crop in just a bit and take out the one bud, leaving a line from bottom to top taking me in and out of the shot.

More focus on the full blooms also might help, having a shallow DOF can work with this shot if the focus is on the main bloom.

I really like the shot overall and the idea behind it, if you do rework this at all I would love to see the results.

Hope my comments help!

I don't know what this has to do with texture but I love this photo.

The light was an issue here. Not only the hands of drummer are blured but all picture! A tripod can make easier, next time.

This is a lovely shot - I particularly like the light and overall composition. However, I don't get an impression of texture - which is about touch - at all.

"JOY is Merry on Christmas!" is a nice candid in the Best of 2002 challenge.

Obviously you were capturing a true expression, which is always wonderful to see. The image itself is a little harsh. The image looks over processed because there are areas that are very pixeled, especially in her hair. There are also some weird white lines that come across in the shot, possibly from the lights reflection. Overall the shot seems out of focus, but I can understand that you were trying to capture the emotion.
