The selective desat is visually interesting but I feel distracted by the lipstick's inclusion, at least at the size the image is displayed here. The contrast is super-high, no doubt you meant that. Nice slice of nostalgia!

I'd really love this if it weren't for the selective de-sat: sure, they have red dresses - but is that really the strong point of this image? For me, it detracts entirely from the strange interactions of the dancers, the falseness in some of those smiles, the leering, the sense of slight desperation. Red dresses are completely incidental, I think.
