Just looking back, gave this a nine in the challenge and can't believe I didn't make it a favorite, I will fix that now! |

I am surprised at the position of this one. I thought it was very dramatic. It is so very clear and crisp. I gave it an 8. |

Nice sharp crisp image, didn't need the selective desat. Was strong the way it was. |

Extremely eye-catching with the selective desaturation. They're very minimal, but I'm seeing some harsh flash shadows in places. |

OK job on the selective color, but there are some major flaws. For instance, the nearest girl (who is a stunning beauty, btw) has a glow of fleshtone around her ruby lips that makes her look a bit wierd and there are artifacts on the legs of all of the lovely ladies. I'm not too sure about the composition, though I can't say what I would have done to make it better. The background is too busy and the selective color is just a bit too over the top, even for advanced editing. I also could do without having the scrawny, baggy panted rear of the Harry Connick, Jr. wanna-be in front so prominent in the frame! LOL! |

COOL! Great editing technique...it really makes this image interesting when, without the editing, it might not have gotten a second glance. |

I like your feel in this shot. I like the composition and even your low shooting angel. I like the selective color and I don't. I think maybe less would be more. I do like your b/w conversion. |

I like the red and black look a lot, but I feel there is a bit much going on. I would like to see more of a focus on just one of thr couples. Ironically both of the couples in the background seem to have more going on of interest than the foreground pair. |

The selective desat is visually interesting but I feel distracted by the lipstick's inclusion, at least at the size the image is displayed here. The contrast is super-high, no doubt you meant that. Nice slice of nostalgia! |

The image is oddly silent to me. I wonder why. Clearly, your photo is very unusual and well executed. |

I'd really love this if it weren't for the selective de-sat: sure, they have red dresses - but is that really the strong point of this image? For me, it detracts entirely from the strange interactions of the dancers, the falseness in some of those smiles, the leering, the sense of slight desperation. Red dresses are completely incidental, I think. |

selective desat is a bit sloppy. Too much red on the faces. |

An interesting idea, and I think the selective desat would work. I can't decide if this is set up by you or part of a performance, but the dancers would look better against a solid background. The arms of the left male and center female dancer form a strange angle. |
