To me this just looks like any everyday picture and not really anything special (like a photo in a contest). I think the sunglasses are distracting, the exposure & contrast a little low and the color balance "slightly" off. Lastly, it looks like he has dandruff on his shoulders (whether it is or not) which could have been cloned out.

I'm not quite sure what this photo is. It looks a little out of focus but not too bad. I see the addition of the rays at the top which leads me to believe that the it is something being burned by aliens? Good composition.
