How do I say.....Hello?by albc28Comment by ranm: From the critique club
Light; highlights blown out on the left, witch would be okay if the background was cleaner and more light on her face.
You could clean the background up with Photoshop since this was an advanced editing challenge.
The pose seems kind of awkward when you crop a part of her head of.
The eyes seem out of focus, it suits it better to have them in focus. And she has very pretty eyes.
Nice PP on the eyes and the colors are lovely.
The composition would be quite nice with the whole head in the picture.
If you have any questions about the critique feel free to contact me through the PM system.

Her Mother's Childby albc28Comment by eschelar: I'm sure someone will point this out, but it looks to me as though you have front focused on this one... The eyes are a bit soft. I'm not including that in my vote as this pic isn't about focus.
I was actually a bit surprised when I saw the title indicating that this is a girl. I realize that you were going for thirds on the eyes and mouth, but the hairline and mouth are obscured so that the femininity is difficult to see.
Nicely done B&W conversion btw. |

Her Mother's Childby albc28Comment by alexjack: Beautiful girl, nice shot and conversion, but Im not quite sold on the knee in front of her... just down a bit and this would have been really fantastic,
