Morning over Lebanon-Israel Borderby albc28Comment by Rino63: in this image I understand that we are on the lebanon-israel border only for the title. there isn't something that tell me where we are. Can be a very interesting image if it had been some drawn symbol. |

Nina-Marie (4306 resized).jpgby albc28Comment by gaurawa: I like this image for the overall feel, but this has flaws
- Its tilted to the right, the model looks ackward with this tilt
- focus is not sharp on her face, a shallower dof would sure help |

Cheryl's Smileby albc28Comment by levyj413: Just from the 3 comments I've read, you're getting the idea that nothing will please everyone. I gave this a 6. In the context of this challenge, that meant you'd chosen something that interested me, and done a pretty good job with it. And I still feel that way.
Unless this is the full frame, try a few different crops - looser, landscape, etc. And then post them in a thread in the forums and invite comment.
Keep it up! |

Crying, Waiting, Hopingby albc28Comment by levyj413: I'll go with what ericwoo said below, but mostly I want to comment that this is a very emotional pose. And retreating to the sanctity of your bathroom when your heart's broken seems natural enough. Nice job! |

Cheryl's Smileby albc28Comment by CalliopeKel: I think you are a little too close to your model or too zoomed in. I don't feel like there is any breathing space for the viewer. Your light isn't too bad, but there seems to be a dark area straight on.
Focus is good and she is a nice looking model. Just keep foolin with your lights. Studio is a little tricky. |

Cheryl's Smileby albc28Comment by skewsme: Hi. I was one of your 5's. I think your tones and focus are good in this shot. However, the combination of the close-up and the tight crop really puts her face in my face, and it's not comfortable. Plus she's looking right at me. She's a lovely girl, but the processing is very realistic. Maybe a little too realistic? To me, the key to improving the impact of this picture would be to back off, let the viewer have a little perspective on the model. Then you can consider whether to soften it up a touch, or give it an interesting twist of some sort. Just my 2c. Have fun experimenting :) |
