Turning on the Waterby Shy ClickerComment by EricMGB1974: I actually rather like the composition and colors here, but the water from the pipes really doesn't serve any purpose in the photo, other than to fit it into the challenge. Maybe it would add more if you froze it as it hit the pool and splashed instead of in mid air? |

Turning on the Waterby Shy ClickerComment by redmoon: it is a good example of timing, but i think it is suffering from a number of odd-composition related things... i feel that the stopped motion bits do not fill enough of the image, and seem almost insignificant as a result. the lighting is a bit dark and tinged with blue (in Elements or similar colour variations or hue / saturation adjustments might have helped). finally, the image is too small as well; use save for web to get it to the best quality at the allowable dimensions. 3. |

White Knight Saves Pawn King from Black Hole IMG_0335a.jpgby Shy ClickerComment by emorgan49: Can you straighten up the king? Leaning pictures are a pet peeve of mine but the tilt can also hurt your score. Even if the viewer doesn't identify the problem as a tilt, they can feel that "something is off" and knock off a point. Or rotate it some more so that the tilt feels deliberate instead of accidental. |

Basking in the Reflected Glory of a Golden Victoryby Shy ClickerComment by gaurawa: ** Critique Club **
Greetings!
Photograph: Well taken, the title is very appropriate and technically, its very well captured.
Challenge : the challenge was Gold, and I am sure not many people will find enough gold in this picture, there is are more colors in this picture which fight for attention, which I believe is the reason for a lower score.
Overall, a well taken photograph which doesn't meet the challenge very well.
if you have any questions, please feel free to pm me.
thanks,
Gaurawa |
