An appealing image that contributes to the challenge well

Lovely landscape Jonathon. I love the diminutive figure of the surfer it gives a sense of scale to what one of your commenters describes as small waves but clearly his presence shows they are larger than is at first appreciated. I think perhaps you could have given it slightly less exposure to reduce the blow highlights, anyway, well done with your score and placing

An interesting challenge that meets the challenge

Quite a challenge this, to make something interesting from the everyday mundane that we take for granted, I think you’ve done well here though I do think it could be improved upon. Given the image here I like the graphic qualities of the clock face against the equally graphic roof. Because of this I don’t think the left of the shot contributes anything at all in fact I would say it detracts. A portrait orientated crop with the clock in the bottom left corner would, I think, work much better?
