Food is a huge thing for stock, it took me a while to learn what exactly stock was before I started voting and boy are those sites picky as sin..
I think this photo meets more than half of the challenge but yet not quite to the top.
I am thinking the blurr at the bottom would stop them and say no, hence to me I like it, 8

Great stock image overall. The one thing I may see working against you is the depth of field. Focus stacking to get it all in focus would be more stock (from what I have experienced).

I love this. The motion captured is a bit harder to pull out than in some of the other images since the scene is big, but the detail you captured in that stopped motion is fabulous. I wonder if the image had been cropped a bit more to emphasize that beautiful whipped batter pattern, if it might have scored even higher. I too have a hard time understanding what about the shot might have led to scoring the image a 2. Awesome creativeness!
