Life ... Stilledby DantzrComment by h2: this is not a still life (i.e. an arrangement of things), but a shot of a found scenery. as that, not very interesting nor of artistic merits |

'TIRE'd Pawsby DantzrComment by HeiSch: cool idea. A really centered approach could have made the made the composition much stronger. While the photo is very sharp, a bit contrast would add to the depth. I like your interpretation of the challenge |

Grand Haven Lighthouse Pier on a wonderfuly dismal dayby DantzrComment by Dantzr: Originally posted by PigleT: What does it have to do with multiple light-sources? |
Originally posted by mad_brewer: I don't really see the multiple light sources here. However it did keep my interest more than most in this challenge. |
Well... the lighthouse light for one, the outbuilding light for 2, and then the 60 or so lights along the upper walkway.
Okay...maybe I should have defined everything a little better, maybe a night shot when all of the lights were on, but...
Thanks for the comments...definitely! Message edited by author 2007-06-13 00:29:52. |

Grand Haven Lighthouse Pier on a wonderfuly dismal dayby DantzrComment by MelonMusketeer: I see that you were trying to get the monument and the two lights behind it for the challenge. All the things in between them seem to make it not possible to do so and get a simple image. The other signs, the walkway ect are distracting.
I understand the cold also. I see that you are new to digital photography, and ISO 64 isn't necessary to have a sharp image with digital. Any ISO setting up to and including 400 should give about the same results in grain and noise level when there is good lighting. When light is very low, then try shooting with the ISO 64 and a tripod.
