jetty railby VeioletsComment by Ecce_Signum: Yup, am thinking all red or straight desat and I'm liking the red reflections in the water :) Nice composition and exposure - well done you! |

Canada Goose Launchby VeioletsComment by Ecce_Signum: Well, I like it as it is with the Geese leaving the sunny foreground into the bleakness of the background. The footprints really make this shot - nice one :) |

Canada Goose Launchby VeioletsComment by Sonifo: ....and the last few fly south for the winter. hahah..
You have perfect lines in this photo from the water edge to the landscape. All the little goose prints playing a leading line role and tones make a great image. |

Pretty Streamby VeioletsComment by Bruce_the_Robert: Lovely curve in the stream, the top of an "s" (very pleasing to the eye); I'm sure by now (I'm very late) you're taking advantage of the chance to fully edit your shots, and I agree with Andi that I'd love to see this river as the seasons move on. |

Americanaby VeioletsComment by Bruce_the_Robert: There is potential here, a slice of life, a place that is nowhere but everywhere. Good comments below on sharpness and shooting, though I might try it from a much lower angle, as well (but I have a preference for very low angles), perhaps even the level of a child's eyes. |

jetty railby VeioletsComment by Melethia: Are the horizontal sections of the railing red as well? They look a little strange in gray. What I think is cool is how you also kept the bits of reflection of the rail in the water as red, too. I don't think many people would have thought to do that! |

jetty railby VeioletsComment by SandyP: I like it too! Its not overstated. You hardly notice that it is a selective desaturation because the pop fits so well with the photo. It looks like it belongs.
A striking composition.

Canada Goose Launchby VeioletsComment by SandyP: So beautiful! And I'm relieved. . .when I first saw the title, I thought it said, "Canada Goose Lunch". I was about to be sad :)
You got the whole range of pure blacks, pure whites and all the tones inbetween. Very nice!
