After Rachelby gwe21Comment by CNovack: Bringing us closer to your subject is always a plus. The After composition improves dramatically from the original simply because now your main subject fills the frame. The brightness/contrast brightened her face and improved the flat colors in the skin tones seen in the original. The addition of catchlights in her eyes is a nice touch - a twinkle in her eyes. Good job. |

After Rachelby gwe21Comment by TCGuru: I like the enhancement of the catchlights in her eyes. Good choice of crop as well... the light is very flat though, perhaps some dodge and burn for shadows to give it depth? Only other issue is that she is not looking at the camera but slightly to the right. NOT something I know how to fix in PP LOL All in all, nice work with the PP. It did the photo justice. |

After Rachelby gwe21Comment by emorgan49: I'm curious, why didnt you straighten the tree? It would have made her shoulders more even. Did it make her head too tilted? Wonderful portrait - I like how the orange repeats in the background, shirt, hair tie and hair highlights. |

Wondermentby gwe21Comment by bvy: More out of focus than soft. Great expression captured though. |

Wondermentby gwe21Comment by Citadel: More out of focus than soft focus. Tough difference to quantify but this one edged over to the wrong side of the line
I do however, like the colors in the shot, the composition and the expression you captured. I hope you took one that was in sharp focus too! |
