Day 6: Waiting for the Trainby bobonacusComment by MelonMusketeer: Nicely done, and the DOF is right for this shot too. Many P&S cameras hold the metering level if you point and push the shutter half way, and hold it there while you are composing. It makes it easy to get the light levels you want, as you can watch the screen to see what it will look like as you move the camera around. You did a good job with getting what you were after with this shot. |

Day 6: Waiting for the Trainby bobonacusComment by pixelpig: Train tracks are always good--this is a fine one. The trees looks especially fine, a nice contrast tothe tracks. If you use center-weighted metering, be mindful of where you point it, a variety of results can be achieved. Think of it as spot-metering. |

Day 6: Waiting for the Trainby bobonacusComment by JuliBoc: Nice effect. I like the sharpness of the boards in the center. There isn't much detail in the distance, but I've decided I don't mind that. The lines lead me there, but my eye returns to the center where there is nice detail and depth to the image. Thanks for sharing that nice sepia Photoshop action. |

Day 4: White Flowersby bobonacusComment by robinssong: Flowers are great subjects. This is beautifully done. The sharpness of the pretty flowers and blurry background with diagonals works very well together. |
