I'm really pleased at what a good reception this photo got.
The sharpness of pictures is something I should be able to address with some more experience of my photo editing program (The GIMP).

I'm just blown away by the 7 10/10 ratings!
This will need to be my benchmark.

An incredible composition.
The contrast of the bright background and the grey bird is great.
The vole (?) must be an unusual prey item.

I can see the jesses on the bird's legs, so know this is a captive individual.
Even so, the composition is great.
It's a shame the background doesn't contrast more with the subject, as the bird would become a greater star of the show.
