Orange turning to pink

Ok.. here i go. I've checked this shot at home on my LCD monitor and i'm now comparing it at work with a regular monitor giving you the benefit of a doubt. Its more pinkish than orange. Aside from that, either the focus is off or there is just a focal point that i can't see (something completely in focus). It looks like you took this shot handheld also which might be the cause of that. I would've cropped the sides more too. Or, IMO, taken the picture in portrait-wise orientation. It looks red to me... i had a look at this shot on my LCD monitor at home and wondered if there was a problem with it. So giving you the benefit of a doubt, i'm at work using a normal monitor and it still looks red.. :( so to me this doesn't fit the challenge at all. But overall, good composition. Focus is good but the lighting is a bit dark but maybe that's the effect you wanted? Good effort on your part nevertheless. In all fairness i'm affraid i'll have to give you a 3 on this.. Sorry

Oranges? I thought we were supposed to take a shot with orange in it... not oranges :s My 2 cents: Due to lack of lighting, the colors of this shot look too dull IMO. Not the best choice of background either. White would've looked better. Also, the ambient light (sort of violet) on the oranges doesn't go too well. A little too much of NeatImage used too i think. Horizon should be lower since there's nothing there of much value... the emphasis here is the sky so there should be MUCH more of it IMO. Hope this comment helped :D Good luck!

The color combination is ok but the overall hue of this image is a bit cold... a bit too much on NeatImage too, gives it a kinda "glowing" effect. Focus is a bit off too or maybe your lens is dirty... not sure which. But a good attempt nevertheless. Good luck! 5
