For me it's a little to grainy, though your angle and lighting is good. A more anonymous background would have helped focus attention on the flower as well.

Niceuse of perspective, and good colors. From a technical standpoint, it's pretty noisy, and you should consider cropping out the vignetting in the corners.

Sadly it's a jpeg original, and after all that processing won't print very well ;( But it's one of my own favorites anyway.

I did actually use a candle. It's noted in the notes.

Very much in the mould of Edward Hopper. I think you could probably crop off part of the bottom where there's no detail and not lose any compositional value. Maybe a bit more sharpness in the lighthouse to bring out more detail (which should be available given the side lighting) would be good as well.

You've unfortunately been a victim of flare here. Even though it's 'de rigeur' these days, it doesn't really help your shot. The colors are wonderful though, but the horizon isn't very attractive. With these great conditions, another vantage point may have given you a better composition.

A well executed shot, though I get a feeling that there must be loads of detail and texture in the girl's clothing. Maybe a little more light on the figure (but not too much) would be an interesting alternative?

Overexposed unfortunately, unless of course you were going for a 'high key' portrait. If not, this can be easily corrected in post-processing.

I like ithis - it just says 'busy' to me. The construction work, the moving figures... Very nice.

The sky looks pretty clear, so if you had waited a little longer you may heave got better color and better reflection.
