Which Picture?by dtremainComment: This is a perfect example of searching. Totally focused. Nice colors, great lighting, but the background seems rather busy with partially seen objects. |

It's in here somewhereby tvsometimeComment: Beautifully captured action shot, however, I am having difficulty accepting that the image depicts "searching"
Maybe because she is walking and looking in her bag. Doing two things instead of been totally focused on the searching aspect. Maybe that's where I have a problem. |

How do you lose a horse?by MinsoPhotoComment: The lips really make this photo work. His mouth is slightly ajar, something that you would naturally do if you were searching for something.
Does it look too much like a studio portrait shot, given the background?
Would a white background be better?
Or maybe an exterior background. I'm just not sure.
Everything about him is perfect, but I am put off by the background.
What do you think? |

3by TiberiusComment: This is a great shot, beautifully composed and processed. I am having a hard time accepting the "Searching" factor.
I am drawn to the person on the sewing machine. He is the one deeply in focus, he, with his machine, takes up 50% of the frame.
I think that the guy with the hat, softer in focus, actually knows where his money is, and he's just getting it out of his bag, rather than actually searching for it.
Don't get me wrong, I love the image, but "Searching" I am not so sure of.
"Busy at Work" would better suit this image. |

I saw it run in here!by glad2badadComment: For me this photograph captures "Searching" perfectly. His body language is spot on. The fact that we can't see his face adds to the impact that the boy is actually searching.
It appears that he has broken away from whatever activity he was doing, to search for something in that tiny crevasse. I like this shot.
The purists would say that work in post would have helped, but I like this image because it aptly describes "Searching"
Good luck. |
