Match Head Flameby deceptiveComment: Wonderful composition, but lack of detail in the flame hurts. A little more light or negative exposure compensation could have solved it. |

My New CD Burnerby NeilComment: I hope no equipment was harmed in this stunt, and glad you found a better use for the Windows installer disc! If you had shined a light on the scene, the flame wouldn't have been as blown out. |

please to meet youby SeanachaiComment: Very interesting concept. Great job with the flames. A little noisy and dark on the top, but one of the strongest entries. |

Lighting a Matchby knightdComment: FOCUS! If I didn't read the title, I wouldn't have a clue what this is. Set a manual focus, then shine a bright light on the area and hold down the shutter halfway to set the exposure, then turn off the light, light the match and snap the shutter. It's tricky, but do-able. |

Waning Fireby ArtifactsComment: Cool color, but it could hurt you in voting. Without a bright red sunset, it doesn't really look like fire, so you have to think about the context. I found the composition more compelling when I cropped in much closer so you only see the more interesting parts of the scene. |

by soccerdadComment: So where was this statue in the Silence challenge? Nice fire, odd combination. The "God of Really Quiet Fire"? |

Go on then - light my fire!by hughletherenComment: Not exactly original. Maybe if you dropped some powder on the flame to get unusual colors or a few sparks? A more interesting background could help provide a context, too... maybe a moody scene with wine glasses and about to light a candle? |
