Slammin'by karmatComment: Good idea, but wouldn't the flames be trailing an [upward] moving ball? Just turn the ball upside down before shooting and rotate the image 180 degrees to get the effect. A low-speed fan on the flames would really give the impression of a meteor. |

match this!by tolovemoonComment: OK- foreground match and background lighter. The depth of field hurts you here- the flame is in focus but the match isn't, so obviously they're on different planes. Shoot this in brighter light... the flame won't be as blown out and you'll be able to increase depth of field. |

Printer Malfunction!by deadd0gComment: The fire is very nicely exposed, but the printer destruction seems pointless. Crop in really tight to minimize the distracting furniture and don't bother with the border- would you really frame this? |

The Fire In Her Eyesby lilnukeeComment: ... the microscope in my hand. The flame is just too small. Perhaps if the fire was more brightly colored? I was going to try a similar shot + maybe one using mirrored sunglasses, but the reflections were too small so I gave up. |
