5.3800 for "Crashing Waves"by hahn23Comment: The tumult of the low, advancing clouds accentuates the angles of the mountains. B&W was a good choice - taking advantage of the tonal range. There is movement in this image although it has a rock solid foundation. Five point three eight is a low ball for this image in my opinion. Translation: I'm awarding it better than a five. |

The Welder by franktheyankComment: Well composed. Your choice of B&W gets away from the sometimes trite blue arc and encourages the eye to circle the image instead of focusing on the it. Good luck. |

Toner Chimp by Yo_SpiffComment: An unusual vocation to capture in a unique PoV, but one I think most of us can identify with when that dang paper jams. Well done. |

Mr.Chenby GeorgesBogaertComment: Clearly a fellow who works hard and efficiently at his tasks. B&W was a good choice. Are those his bare toes peeking out of his footwear? Engaging image - good luck. |

The Masterby wildirisComment: Although I am not "into" bikes, this scene is a suitable choice for this challenge and interesting enough that I am curious about what he is doing. Nicely framed. Good focus. |

Attention to Detailby jomariComment: Gritty. Shiny. Colorful. Well lit. I like the way the reflection leads to the task at hand. Oh, and muscular, too. Ah-hem, yes. Anyway, effective entry for this challenge. Ten from me. |

The mechanicby NeatComment: Perfect interpretation for this challenge. B&W was an excellent choice. In most of the other images, I have appreciated the ability to view all the background "stuff" defining the particular trade. Had this been mine - and, of course, it is not, so this represents a personal preference - I think I would have cropped either side to the pillars and down to the top of the light well on the rear of the bed. The rich B&W tonality would still be there but the focus would be more on the mechanic. Still very much appreciate this picture, though and will gladly give it a two digit rating. Good luck. |

Ferrymanby hajekaComment: Great tones. Unique occupation to capture. Fun capture of the blend of new technology alongside the bell. Like the refection of the water in the window. Just wish we could have seen a little more of the operator. |

January Rooferby hahn23Comment: PoV extraordinaire! This earns a ten just for the fact you are at the peak of the roof with this fellow: it looks hazardous and cold. Still your focus is spot on; composition is very effective. You efforts to get his shot and execute it technically must be lauded. Ten from me. |

Third generationby Alex_PetriniComment: Compelling portrait; unfortunately there are no hints as to his vocation - a baker, based on the ball cap? Maybe a curves adjustment would have darkened the image a tad to help emphasize his craggy face and the textures of his facial hair? Still, it earns a ten from me. |
