Spectacular capture. Initially it seems so simple but there is much to uncover in this image. Primarily the lightening, but the river (irrigation ditch?) the green folds in the lower right corner, the irrigations system on the horizon, that ominous cloud that looks terrifyingly like a wall cloud. Maybe there is some vignetting? If so, I would debate its necessity in this subtly complex image, but I also bow to artistic spirit. Way, way above 6.27 from me.

What a curious place. Nicely seen. Engaging combination of textures between the stone and the tin. I like the horizontal lines carried between the two. The grasses and trees add vertical interest. Personally, I would have cloned out those red spots at the top of the doors or cropped down to eliminate them. Hope your guess is low, because I think it deserves much higher. Good luck.

Good bokeh helps spotlight this pretty "lady." Maybe I would have cropped some off the bottom but the sharp focus on the subject is a strong plus for this image.

What a sweet doggie portrait. Great light which accents the brandy colored coat. Maybe the head is a teensy too centered, but with the extended front leg, the pose balances out the composition and horizontal alignment. Gorgeous, adoring brown eyes. Going to get more than a 6 from me.

The Almighty can create some dramatic scenes - wow! Glad you were there to capture this. The hard line of the cloud diagonal lends to the strength of the image. Personally, I would have cropped off more of the top - but that is, of course, a personal choice. Looks good in B&W. Hope you will share a color version after the challenge. It deserves better than your guess.
