 I wish I had time this week, but I did not. So, a boring image of an espresso cup. I'm certain this will finish just above a 5.

I think it's interesting how many people have commented on the fact that everything is in focus. That is no mistake. I made sure of that by focus stacking 4 images: 1 for the rim and 3 for the beans.

tvsometime is the closest. He guessed 5,45, and this ended up at 5.47. Doesn't get much closer than that.

Not very original but I really like this kind of shot. I like the simple palette and shapes, the contrast of textures, the warmth of the tones, the polished look. Easy seven for me. I think you are underestimating yourself. My guess is 6.3

A good close up. I think the lack of definition in the cup (partly the cup's shapes fault, partly the high key exposure of the cup) makes the photo stand out less. 6.0

This seems very fecal to me, but DPC will like the obviousness of using coffee tones for a shot of coffee, and DPC will like the overbearingness of having coffee beans in a coffee saucer even though that makes no sense. Plus this is really sharp without halos. You are good at sharpness. So a three from me but DPC will give you a 6

I love a good close crop and think your processing is spot on for the subject. Be very afraid though. My finger is never on the pulse of DPC

For me, this image is a good one, but a few notches below the best images in the challenge. I expect it to do about 5.3

This is a well constructed high contrast macro - it's not an image that does much for me but I can appreciate the care that has been taken and the integrity of the final image. I think you'll do a little better - 5.7?

Nice coffee concept. The closeup makes the commonplace into something nearly monumental. I'll guess a score maybe a bit higher, say, 5.45.

Very nice macro, I can taste the coffee! nice visual on the beans brings out the taste I think. you have everything in focus here, great! common mistakes in some close up shots. cup colour works well. I hope this scores much higher than your prediction. my guess is 6.2 and I'll vote this a seven Good Luck

Nice clarity and colors on the beans. The closeness of the subject may be hurting the overall image though. But, it does make me want a cup of coffee! 5.58

I think you have understimated it, I really like this, it would make a great coffee bean add, love the vintage tones, I'm giving you a 7, but I think overall you will score 6.10.
