Artificial Lamp Lightby Len ScapComment: My inclination was to say, "This really pops," but actually it is the radiance that makes it such a stand out image in this challenge. The reflections make it even stronger. Nicely exposed. Hoping for a ribbon for you on this one. |

Nighttime Whimsyby colorcarnivalComment: Whimsical indeed! The daring tilt to the image lends to the constellation-like patterns of the "stars." Quite engaging. Best of luck. |

96 Flavoursby jomariComment: I like this: compositionally, certainly plenty of artificial lighting, lots of lines to follow. Good exposure in a challenging setting. Good luck. |

Waiting for his wordby snafflesComment: A most novel image. The title might suggest it should be the horse in focus not the sulky driver, but without the bias of the title, I like the sharpness of the driver's face that suggests he is reading the animal as much as the creature is waiting for its cue. Quite a unique moment. |

A Girl and Her Dog by sjhulsComment: Delightful capture of a carefree child and her puppy! This stop-action shot freezes ( no pun intended ) the happy energy of both. Quite a pleasing shot! Compositionally, I personally would have cropped down the top to the hard white horizon - but that would be, again, a personal preference. |

For you Blueby daisydavidComment: First impression: eerie then cheery. The grainy B&W portion of the image is almost sinister then there is this bright, industrious lady sweeping away. Had it not been for the selective saturation, this would have probably been a ho-hum image; the artistic editing makes it a compelling one. Effective composition. A most interesting submission. |

Trepidation on the train by markwileyComment: Well composed photojournalism shot. The look on the subject's face, the setting, the reflections of other passengers, the sign, the newspaper all lend to many elements that engage the viewer. Interesting textures in all the fabrics nicely accented in B&W. |

The Watcherby namComment: Ah, innocent fascination. B&W was a nice choice to direct the viewer to his/her intense captivation. The reflection does a good job of finishing the face. |
