No setup involved here, and I don't know if the lady saw me or not. I was visiting Sorrento on a cruise, saw this woman and her kids sitting on the steps, and managed to sneak a couple photos. I did feel bad afterwards and thought I should have gone back and given her some money. There were a LOT of shoppers on the street so that's why she was probably holding her hand out. But I thought this was a pretty powerful image so I wasn't going to delete it, and figured when I got back I'd share it here, and maybe see how well it scored.

This is a strong image, but I think the sepia toning on the picture doesn't really mesh well with the B&W in the rest of the photo.

I'd be interested in hearing what happened with this photo. I really like the composition and tone of the photo, but unfortunately the extremely low quality of the image really brings it down. Too bad :(
