Anticipationby cloudsmeComment: This could win! It is an uncontroverisial 10. Who wouldn't love it? Perhaps that baby is already born. I love how you included the father in the family portrait by making that wedding ring so prominant. |

The Sunbatherby muur88Comment: Okay, I laughed out loud. This is a winner, obviosly a 10. The justoposition of the tiny semi naked human in her bright red bikini against all those bricks of varying shades of brown... Her tiny wieght against their ponderous weigh..her frivolous vanity getting a bit of tan in he black bra against the seriousness of the brick. What could be better. Sometimes a picture makes me want to quite photography, I think "well, that one says everything, what is there left to say". |

Ethereal Playgroundby twm122Comment: Phew! Another lovely 10! This is lovely and goes to my favorites. Did you mean for it to be tilted slightly to the right? My right brain self thinks that swing chains should obey gravity and hang straight. The light here is a joy to look at, the memories of summer and childhood and my childrens childhood, the wonderful sillouette of the big tree. Ah, this is the color of the world I grew up in, made all peaceful with all badness and pain removed. I just LOVE this photo! |

... behind that old empty millby GnarfComment: The pond is frozen and the cracks are in the ice? Where am I supposed to look? Is there a center of interest? The bridge? but it is so far up in the picture, the ice water? it doesn't hold my interst yet it dominates half the picture. this leaves me compositionally confused. what lines should my eyes follow so that I don't just think "boring" and move to the nest photo. Perhaps there is a sublty here that I am missing? If so, it isn't a good picture to enter in a contest like this where most voters spend about 10 seconds to give the image a number. Techincal excellence and post processing are not enough. Why is it that you want me to look at this picture? |

Glass Pondby youngnovaComment: Where is this? it looks so interesting. How big are these things? This is an almost but not quite image for me. It is almost stunning but the orbs in the background are poorly arranged, there are too many colors and I don't think the color of the water or the vertical reflections adds anything. Now, I suppose you couldn't get in the water and move the yellow and red ones around so they didnt obscure the onion stem, so my complaints are totally unrealisitic. I just think your score will reflect the haphazard array of the whatever-they-ares. |

Hold the Front Pageby ArtanComment: Possibly you knoe this fellow so you are bringing his personality (clearly a character) to the picture. But i dont know him so I end up wishing he would turn his face this way a bit, that the light wasn't so bright on his nose, that I culd see what color his eyes are, I want to say "Hey" and have him turn towards me. I wish you had said "Hey" and snapped the picture a few seconds later. |

Heavenly Signageby macrothingComment: If this were the middle ages you'd be hailed as a saint or a heretic. Beyond the cross as a point of interest, however, there is not much else in the picture to hold me here. The sky is not quite dramatic enough, the ground is too dark. It is hard to tell what the shite stuff is, snow? water? Wait, that's a plam tree, it can't be snow. An intersting something to sillouette sould make the whole image stronger. |

Ghostly Outreachby SherwinJamesComment: Ah - doesn't it look like a ballet? I can hear the music and almost see the delicate pistons swaying. Blue is an unusual choice for backgrond color so it really demands attention. And the blue makes the white look whiter, Lovely, |
