Thank you to all who commented (and also voted - score went up a bit with the extra week). Knew this had a few issues, but it is a 'personal shot' now in 'archives'.

I agree with all the comments about the image. I knew it was not a photographic masterpiece.

The moment not captured in camera was close to Heaven - for me.

Here's an 'outtake' that I didn't submit because it was not 'natural' enough for my intent:

very nice work. is that why you took the photo, or is it something you found afterwards...

Needs a focal point more interesting than comtrail/cloud crossing, I'm afraid.

I'm not sure what your subject is supposed to be. If it is the sunset, you waited a little too late for that since almost all of the colors are gone. Otherwise, this is a dark and uninteresting shot. If you are trying to capture something in the water or tree line, a longer exposure would have helped. Also, I don't see the relevance of you title.

Interesting cloud formation, but the picture strikes me as little more than a snapshot imho. The interest here is in the clouds, but not necessarily in the way it was photographed. A longer lens or a tighter crop would have helped.

If this were the middle ages you'd be hailed as a saint or a heretic. Beyond the cross as a point of interest, however, there is not much else in the picture to hold me here. The sky is not quite dramatic enough, the ground is too dark. It is hard to tell what the shite stuff is, snow? water? Wait, that's a plam tree, it can't be snow. An intersting something to sillouette sould make the whole image stronger.

Title fits well with the cross in the clouds.

Kind of plain. Try and bring out some details. Although I like the sky.

Neat capture. Image could use either some brightening up, more contrast or a bit of saturation to bring out the colours in the sky.
