Pork Chop Thursdaysby MidnightVoodooComment: I like that you caught the blue of the flame in the shot. The focus seems to be more on the onion than the pork chop that the title indicates the shot is about. Perhaps a slightly higher angle for the shot so that you could see more into the pan would have helped. |

Organic Spaghetti and Meatballsby jazzmikComment: The focus on this is a little too shallow. I think it would have been more effective to have more of the whole plate in focus. The brightly colored label on the bottle in the background distracts from your main subject. |

Original Cin (namon)by Rae-AnnComment: The buns look yummy and I will be sure to check and see if you have posted this recipe! Nice colour on the strawberries. The silver utensil at the top of the photo is distracting as is the shadow and bit of other plate showing on the right top. |

Mmm...Pieby Commando303Comment: While a good, clear focused shot of a pie, it needs something more to the composition to provide more visual interest. Perhaps if you had cut a slice out so we could see the filling and maybe left the pie lifter in the pan or beside it on the counter, it would have had more impact. |

Key Lime Pie...I Just Had to Try Itby OneSweetSinComment: Good focus. Lighting seems flat and doesn't do anything to enhance the shot. Perhaps an additional light off to one side could give more depth by providing some shadows for more interest. |

Bread from Grain, not a Machineby hyperfocalComment: Simple but effective. I like the way you have used the wheat grains to fill the spot on the left. The only suggestion I could make for improvement would be to use an egg-white wash or a little butter to give the top of the loaf a little sheen for more visual appeal. |

Toastby cwlawrenceComment: Good composition. I like the red toaster and the green plate. The hard part with this type of shot is to avoid getting the camera reflection in the shiny surface (toaster). Maybe someone with way more experience that I have can give you some tips on how to accomplish that though, because I've yet to figure it out...lol |

Winter Treeby DemonLlamaComment: Like the tree but I think this shot might benefit from some cropping on the left to move the large tree closer farther from the center as well as a little off the top. |
