ecdysozoansby GiorgioBaruffiComment: Wow.. what a moment to capture. I didn't vote in this challenge, but going through the results I was a bit surprised to see this so far down. I'm wondering if rotating this 180 degrees so that he was facing upwards would make a difference? Something about facing downward gives this a feeling of coming to an end for me, when it's clearly a moment of moving forward. Either way, a great capture to be proud of. |

The Old Man & The Angelby JacksonGarietyComment: A nice conversion to b/w. The blur looks as if it was created during post processing, which works nicely for isolating the subject, but doesn't really seem to fit with the spirit of the challenge. |

And the rains cameby bassboneComment: Nice ripples in the water from the raindrops... lots to explore in this shot, but almost too much. A narrower focus on the textures and lines might be interesting (thought it wouldn't have fit the challenge as well). Nicely done! |

Quietudeby ZoomdakComment: Reminds me of a hike on the northern coast of California. Quietude would be a perfect description for that location, and suits this photo nicely. Love the softness of the waves and sky. |

The Forest For The Treesby scarbrdComment: Hmm, I think this forest looks familiar from other challenges, but it's perfect for this challenge. Great textured bark, and a nice contrast. The gradient from top to bottom is great too! |

A Vision of Springby tembaComment: Cute family of sheep, and I like how the two little ones are looking right at you. Unfortunately, the greenish tint just isn't working for me. |

Roadscapeby bvyComment: Love the unique take on this with such a shallow dof! |

Mogale Peakby TygerrComment: Interesting vantage point with the road leading right to the peak (though I'm unsure what is laying off to the side of the road!) The weird bands in the sky are a bit of a distraction, as are the small dots (almost looks like specks that were cloned out). |

Their Grass is Greenerby C_Steve_GComment: Interesting how the tree line mimics the mountains to some extent. Seems like a lot of gray tones, with very few dark areas. Makes the photo seem a bit flat. |
