Grandparents, Automobiles, frangrances...

The funny point of view is supposed to coincide with the view that you as a child had. But then, how come this, otherwise cool grandma, doesn't feel scared about where your head is?

Grandparents and automobiles fill a big part of ones first memories and your choice of subject is to be saluted. The control of light, as well.

I end up looking at the bear on the hand of the grandfather, which is looking at the big bear sitting on some sort of a chair. I'm sure you didn't want me to look there.

Good symmetry, good colours. Those red toe nails are funny.

Is this the memory of the first fish that got out of the waters and decided to walk the Earth?

A nice image that I can comprehend, I remember my early days in the sea. We went to the sea once a year, so it was quite an event. I wish I could remember such dramatic skies and waves and all that, but I can't - it's blue sky, nice sand, calm sea, jellyfish hurting, drinking salty sea water...

As for the technalities of your image, I'll point out that I like the horizontal lines of the waves and the radial, almost vertical lines of the sunrays. The top dark cloud that covers the entire top part of the image stops my eyes for going up, so I'm back to the bottom, where the ocean waves are. Nice rhythm, although too dramatic for a calm image that (I don't know why) I expect.

Hands add a good human feeling to the image, and monochrome conversion is done masterfully. But, the first memory thing is that's bothering me: how could a first memory be a camera? I remember that I had a rocket, a train, lego-like toys, I even remember my first camera, but all these things came after I could speak and graps the idea of the camera (rocket, train, etc), and in the mean time I had accumulated a lot of other memories.

Nevertheless, your image is a fine one and could very well be a first memory.

Alone in the woods is a mamory that I can't perceive. There's a nice forrest next to the city I grew up and my school used to regularly organize regularly trips to the forrest. But, my memories from the forrest are full with children, friends, noise, food, balls, games, teachers...
Growing up in the nature is a healthy way to try to understand the world and the life. I'm glad you present your first memory as an image from nature.

I had these kinds of shoes... Or my sister did? I'm not sure, maybe we both had... But, definitely these kind of shoes are part of my very early life.
Good memories. Good realization, a nice control of light and depth of field that is comaparable with the images of the first memories on my brain.

For a moment you tricked me, the image has the almost perfect look to be a first memory. But, after paying a bit of attention, I thought: can the first memory be dynamic? I mean, here's this lovely lady walking and she'll pass pretty soon. So, how will this image be imprinted on a kid's mind and stay there for so long? I think this is a reconstruction of several first memories. And, a perfect one at that, a very good telling of a story. Even her dress, the chairs, the table, remind me of my aunt, and that's really pushing my memories way back.

I love the title! I love the photo! Man, think about it, perfect geometry of the buildings, and amorphos humans, yet chaotic, still there's a lot of space not to get lost. Good, very good... I could see this as a cover of a story or a novel...
