I like this shot, I will admit that at first I thought to myself that what ever that ladder looking thing in the frame is is too distracting, what the hell is it doing in this shot. Then it hit me, the crib rail. Great perspective and cool idea, maybe a bit more rail could help the viewer. I like the b&w and the old camera make this a nice fit for the challenge. 8 |

Hands add a good human feeling to the image, and monochrome conversion is done masterfully. But, the first memory thing is that's bothering me: how could a first memory be a camera? I remember that I had a rocket, a train, lego-like toys, I even remember my first camera, but all these things came after I could speak and graps the idea of the camera (rocket, train, etc), and in the mean time I had accumulated a lot of other memories.
Nevertheless, your image is a fine one and could very well be a first memory. |

The memory that started it all? Perfect tones and composition, this shot just works. |

I like the shot and the B&W treatment but what is the thing on the left.... Ohh hang on is it the side of the crib, IMO a little off putting but i see where you were going. |

I know pretty much anything COULD be your first memory, but this is hard to put into context without a title. Not sure this meets the challenge. |
