Become an Angel: Ride the Subway by levyj413Comment: Oh, cool! I've been fascinated by that underground walkway for as long as it's existed. I remember when they first opened it, they had a negative reaction to the weird music that played; people found it too disorienting. I don't know whether what they play now is much better; I fear it's spoiled "An American in Paris" for me for good.
It must have been a quiet time of day for no one to topple your tripod. On the other hand, maybe not too quiet, or someone would have wanted to officially know why you kept riding the moving walkways back and forth! ;^) |

Twennies from Heavenby kreshkinComment: Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate all the specific comments. Clearly lighting is an issue here, and I have no practice lighting indoor subjects. (I usually shoot outdoors, or in bright natural light indoors.) I think my next stop must be the technical tutorials Lighting II: Studio Effects and Intro to Flashes
I gotta say, after two years of using a point'n'shoot, it was great fun to try my husband's new camera with real manual controls. |

Anything for Wineby maxxumgComment: I've done even more desperate than that. Have you heard of sabre-ing a bottle of champagne? Now imagine trying that with a hammer... |
