Lunaby NazgulComment: This is the only photo I rated a 10. To me this is B&W portaiture at it's very best! Great lighting, very nice composition, classic looking model, wonderfull attention to detail such as make-up and earrings. The scarf completes the whole look. Excellent job, hope you get a blue ribbon, you certainly deserve it! |

Not a good way to recycle batteriesby P_NutComment: As promised my explanation as to why i gave it a 4.
the focus seems to be on the edge of the bin and not the battery. The idea is okey but a bit simple. There were a lot of photo's that were very simple. Now that is not allways a bad thing but they didn't apeal to me. it's also looks a bit oversharpend.
So there you have it, not really that many reasons but enough for me to give it a lower score. I tend to look at details like that. I hope you find it constructive and helpfull to take with you in your next challenge :) |

As far as this photo being 'hidden due to content' - this place is wacky. That 'Three Speed Boy' photo in the 'AA' challenge didn't get DQ'd but yours gets hidden? Ok. Oh well...it'll just mean more hits for your photos. Congrats! |
This one was hidden? Whahaha, yea it's really shocking nude!...NOT!
It's a great shot and it should've ribboned. Well done! |

Tamaraby MakkaComment: Okey if I give my opninion as well? I do a lot of modellingshoots. Like the pose although it seems a bit stiff. The expression is fine, but personally I would've done something about the darkness underneath her eyes. You say you wanted to play with the lighting and catch some shadows, however I find the shadows in the face minimal. If you put the softbox a little more to the side of the model you would've had more shadows on the left of here face, and then try to catch the light in both eyes. what I love about the picture is the way the spikes run down her back. it almost gives a reptile feel to it! like it very much! One more little detail (yes I pay a lot of attention to details) she presses her arm into her leg wich creates a slight bulge that makes her leg look bigger than it is. Hope you find this comment helpfull :-) |
